
Hospice Charitable Fund of Central Arizona
The Charitable Fund of Central Arizona is maintained by a Board of Directors. Members of the Board are suggested by other members and approved by majority vote. To serve on the Board, members must have the desire to help those in need with quality of life and be interested in serving the community.
Our Board of Directors
Tim Theiler - Tim Came to Arizona in mid-1990s to get out of the cold of Wisconsin. Tim is a Social Worker and worked many years in hospice, including the local hospice in Pinal County. He has served as the President of the Board since 2019, and has been a member of the Board since he retired from hospice. Tim has a “hospice heart” and serving is his way of staying connected to persons who are in need.
Steve McCarville - Steve has been a member of the Board almost since its inception in 1998. He wanted to be a member of the Board to assist those with end of life issues, and to ensure that persons in need be cared for and treated with dignity. He loves to help in providing comfort to patients and their families. Steve currently serves as Vice President.
Lynda Woodward - Long time Secretary of the Board has been serving the hospice board for approximately eighteen years. Her husband was in the mortuary business for many years and she worked with him, families, and many people in the medical field. She enjoys helping people.
Kathy Jue - Kathy has served on the Board for several years and has served various positions. She says “I’m happy to be able to serve on the Hospice Board which gives us an opportunity to help seniors and Pinal residents with their end of life needs and be a blessing to them
Cindy McCarville - Cindy was asked to be a part of the Foundation Board because of her long involvement in hospice, having been instrumental in starting the first hospice in central Arizona where she served as its administrator for many years. She agreed to be a member of the board to help ensure that the funds collected as donations from families of former hospice patients are put to good use in continuing to help persons at end of life.
Fred Tucker - Fred is the newest member of the Board. He agreed to serve on the Board in order to elevate comfort, dignity and personal connection for end of life patients, and to help ensure that every individual experiences the highest possible quality of life prior to death.
